On 28 December 2025, Salsia Care Foundation (SCF) spent a joyful day with the children of Great Mission International Children’s Home in Nungua as part of its December Fun Outreach.
The visit brought together SCF’s special needs children and the children at the Home for a day centred on friendship, inclusion, compassion, and fun.
Generous Support and Community Giving
With generous donations from individuals and supporters, SCF gathered food, drinks, clothing, toiletries, school supplies, and other essential items to share with the children.
Cash donations were used to prepare a hearty meal of rice with stew, chicken, and eggs, as well as banku and okro, while some of the remaining funds were used to purchase stationery for the children's educational needs.
More Than Giving: A Day of Togetherness
But the day was about more than giving. The children ate, drank, danced, played games, laughed, and simply enjoyed being together.
For SCF’s special needs children, it was also an opportunity to experience the joy of sharing time and space with other children while learning values of kindness, compassion, and inclusion.
"Sometimes, making a difference is as easy as showing up with love."
The outreach was a simple reminder that making an impact does not always require grand gestures—often, it begins with presence and warmth. SCF was proud to put smiles on the children’s faces and create a day filled with love, laughter, and belonging—because everyone matters, everyone belongs.
